Willkommen im September

Hallo,

*breitgrins*
... I really don't want to bore you that's why I'm holding back any question or comment about us finding ourselves in September again and me not having the slightest clue where August has gone to once more and of course let's not start to talk about the months before, yes, it's for sure incredible that there are only four months left now of this year and Christmas appearing like a threat at the horizon bringing the time along where I have to watch every move of mine (Codeword: Santa's Golden Book *gulp*), this his heavy stuff for sure and time really flies away and... eh... where was I... oh yes... so, this month nothing about this from me... *broadgrin*

But although for a change I'm not going to talk about the fact that we're finding ourselves in September now and that I'm not able to find an explanation where the other 8 months might have gone to I've helped my Birgit of course also at this month's beginning with the update of her several calendars. You know by now... I'm a gentlebear from top to toe (and I also need every good point in Santa's Golden Book... *pant*) Let's see - this month offers us a lovely beach photo and a saying from Goethe. He said even from stones which were laid in our way we could build something nice.

Yes, he's right about that, our famous German poet! One should always try to make the best out of everything... and speaking of this for a change I did not pick some more sayings for you this time but I'm having a little everyday tip for you! I guess you too own a lot of mobile electronics which are supposed to make your lives more convenient and nicer... with every one of them having its own charging cable. And maybe at your place in some drawer or box it looks a bit like in this simulation:

Well, there's a simple solution against this kind of cable tangle - Birgit has seen this tip lately in TV and had a go at it. The solution to this problem is: A toilet paper roll!

Yes, indeed... you only need the cardboard core of the toilet paper... But to make sure Birgit can easily tell her cables apart from now on (and to improve the looks of this... *grin*) she also took some paper and printed labels.

Every roll gets a different paper and Birgit only took papers she can't use for anything else... and this is how it looks now:

And it really works... the cable is secure inside and there's no slipping out of the roll.

*kicher*
For sure an improvement, isn't it? And now the cables are always right at hand... this will save Birgit a lot of time... time she could use for example for serving a cocao to her little flutterybeary... I think I oughta have a word or two with Birgit about this... *giggle*

Wir wünschen Euch allen einen tollen September!
We're wishing to all of you a great September!

Liebe Grüße / Hugs
Flutterby

Hello flutterby,
Again, that Birgit is a genius. That is such a great and fun way of keeping the wires in order. Well done Birgit!
I had to read this post over because the minute I read Christmas and cocoa my mind wandered and I was daydreaming of the holidays.
Big hug
Giac

Ulrike

Flutterby that is a very good use for old toilet paper rolls, I think I will do this as soon as I find my craft paper stash that is somewhere in my craft room :)

Dear Flutterby, please thank Birgit for me. The toilet paper tubes are a great idea. As to where August has gone - I suppose he decided to join his ancestors. I heard they are having a big reception party for him. They do these receptions for every month of the year and this is the main reason they are so eager to leave us.
Hugs, Drora

Skiddi

Dear Fluby, I am So glad you did not mention At All how close we are coming to Christmas now that September is well under way!!! :) (Is it 113 days left? or is it only 112???) I have way too many things to get done before I can even Start to plan for Christmas.... and I already have too many Questions about where the Time gets lost to and too few Answers.... and too many Stories needing a few more Answers!!! This is a puzzle I spend too much Time pondering! LOL! But nonetheless, It is wonderful to see the lovely new page of the calendar (whichever month it wants to call itself!)and you have pointed out a wonderful saying that we can all take to heart.... especially those of us who love to build things! :) And the super re-cycling tip you have shown with the added bonus of making life more organized and nice to look at is a great idea! But the best part of all in my humble opinion is your reminder that now we are returning to hot cocoa season! :)

Hallo liebe Freunde! I think that everyone has the same "problem": time flies like mad, especially for those people, like us, who thinks that he/she needs every time more time for making miniatures ;)!! Fluby, I think, no, I KNOW that your Birgit is a very clever woman, she has solved this problem of loose cords very well, good tip :D!
I wish you all a lot of beautiful days in September, enjoy them all!!
Liebe Grüsse, Schepje (who send all of you an extra warm hug) und Ilona

Fluby,

LG, Nina

Hello Flutterby,

What a clever lady your Birgit is! Please tell her a big thank you for this incredible tip!
As for the time flying by... I know, I can smell autumn in the air, the birds are singing a different tune and the light has turned golden. I hardly noticed summer...
But strangely enough I am looking forward to the darker days, spent inside with a cup of hot cocoa ;-) and a plaid over my legs,a good book and a cat on my lap. It's like the stones, you make the best of it ;-)

Big Hugs,

Véronique

Hallo Ihr Lieben
