Herausforderungen... und *hüstel* Willkommen im November

Hallo,

*freu*
... now it's really time to hurry up! November is half way gone in the meantime and I haven't even asked you how this could ever happen!!! *LOL* Didn't we just have June??? By now we can't close our eyes anymore to the shocking truth - Christmas season is waiting around the corner. And Birgit has already started with the first preparations - the first refugees from the living room moved to their winter asylum in the corridor cupboard. And now regarding the free spaces in the living room we're all waiting for the yearly official kick-off to Christmas season... which is exactly when Birgit is moaning for the very first time: "I have for sure too much Christmas stuff!!!" *grin* Really... we do not need "Last Christmas" for the first time on the radio or something like that - for us this is the start of Christmas season. And very soon the BiWuBeary Christmas Market will open again... *beams-with-joy*

But as any other month November too started of course with the update of Birgit's several calendars. And OF COURSE I've helped my Birgit as usual - you know me... I am a gentlebeary from top to toe (... and I really need some more good points in Santa's Golden Book... *gulp*) This month our wisdom calendar offers some real comfort with a saying by Percy Bysshe Shelley who said if winter comes... how can spring be far away?

I really had to remind my Birgit of this saying last week to make sure she won't get totally desperate. Here at our place winter came all of a sudden... last Tuesday we already had the first snow!!! And it was quite a good amount of snow... *groan* Even though autumn was very late this year and the trees didn't lose all their leaves so far... This looked somehow unusual and that's why we took some pictures in the garden on Wednesday to show it to you - although most of the snow had already melted by then.

Really unusual, isn't it? But it wasn't unusual at all that Rosey and I grabbed our warm scarves and enjoyed the first snow...

Für unsere lieben Leser! ;O)
Dedicated to our dear readers! ;O)

And now I would like to show you what kept Birgit busy during the last days. A very dear Etsy customer has asked Birgit if she could make something special for her: A pumpkin teapot! Well, so far Birgit had never made a teapot... but she had made several pumpkins so she thought she might give it a try. And this is the result of Birgit's first attempt:

Eindeutiger Birgit-Touch!
Without any doubt: Birgit-touch! *LOL* And of course the lid is removable:

This piece would also look good in Mysteria's witch kitchen...

And as it always goes with Birgit... whenever she starts to try something new she gets in a flow:

Well, the customer liked this very much... so much that she thought of another challenge for Birgit at once: A magical book holder it should be. And after some inquiry Birgit came up with this:

Somehow spooky, isn't he? But on this WIP-photo it shows well that Birgit made the hands out of wire - so the magical tree will be able to hold books or whatever in them. Birgit gave him anyhow a book and a candle holder to hold and he managed this task quite well:

And whether it was because the customer was once more very happy with this result or because of the good ol' rule that it takes three to make it good... the customer came up with a third request. A magical fence for a roombox it should be... 12 " long... and in two pieces to make sure it could be shipped easily. Oh my... Birgit and wood... that's due to her sore arms a story in itself. But Birgit and challenges is for sure another story... and so Birgit gave it a try again and in the end there was indeed a fence.

*lach*
And after Birgit had managed to build the fence the touch of magic was no problem at all... *LOL*

I'm going to show this a bit better:

Just looking at the photos the customer was very pleased... we hope she will still be pleased after the fence made it safe and sound to her home. *grin* And now after Birgit managed to take all challenges given to her she is able to fully concentrate on decorating for Christmas. Nevertheless... I've heard a rumor about a small addition to the BiWuBeary Christmas Market... *teehee* Let's wait and see... you know by now... I'm holding my eyes and ears open for you! ;O)

Liebe Grüße / Hugs

Halloooooo, Fluby!! It seems that it is very quiet in the blog world.....I see that there's even no comment on your frequently read blog, how come????? Well, let me do the kick off ;)! First of all the saying is wonderful, as usual has Birgit wonderful sayings for us, your readers, Fluby.
It was also nice to see pictures of your garden, although I think that Birgit wasn't very happy with the snowfall, because of her poor arms! Here, Schepje did also expected some snow too, but guess what?! We didn't got anything of that white stuff, now he's very disappointed about that......but okay, back to your garden. Well, it must have been a strange view: trees with still their leaves at their branches and also snow on top! But the good thing is that it makes great pictures, isn't it :D!?
I LOVE the pictures of Rosey and you in the snow, I hope that you've amused yourselves in the snow. I see that you both needed your scarfs, are they still warm enough ;)!
I must say that Birgit has outdone herself by making this magic book holder and the gorgeous fence. The way she made the fence in two pieces, for a safe transport, is very clever. I bet that her customer will be thrilled with this special fence. Oh my, and lots of decoration, even some teeny tiny furniture at the foot of one of the poles of the fence ;)! I also like the newly made pumpkin teapot and cups, I think your Birgit is becoming a true magician with her clay, Fluby.
Hopefully your Birgit gets some more time for doing her Christmas preparations, because before we know it, it will be December!!! And I read that Birgit is thinking of an addition to her famous Christmas market??? Well, what can that be?? I can't wait to see it, but I guess that we still have to wait until it is on your blog??
Wishing you all a lovely week. Liebe Grüsse, Schepje und Ilona

Hello Fluby,

This is Hester writing, today. It's a pleasure to read your latest post. :) Where is Nina? I'm not sure... We were just looking at the adorable photos of Rosey and you playing in the snow wrapped up in your little scarves and then suddenly she disappeared... Excuse me a moment... What ARE you doing underneath the table, Nina?? Poor dear, she says she has suffered some sort of sugar shock!

Back to your entry! I'm happy to see more of Birgit's fantastic witchy creations. In my opinion a pumpkin tea set is very practical and chic all year round, not just on Halloween. And the beautifully overgrown garden fence... I am in awe. You even thought of the fairy folk and included a little table and chairs for them... Please send me a pack of business cards, Birgit, so I can hand them out to my witch and wizard friends!

Last but not least, your magical book holder tree has me wondering whether I should be getting one... He's marvellously creepy and his expression seems just authoritarian enough to ward off any new (or old...) poltergeists. Thank you for such an inspiring update, Fluby and Birgit! :)

Love,
Hester

OMG Fluby,
Birgit has outdone herself!! The teapot, magical book holder and fence are exceptional! For sure she's very talented! I like the way the two pieces of the fence are joined. Very smart!
As for snow... lucky you! It is the season for snow but in Holland it's warmer outside than inside! It's so much fun to play in the snow when one is a flutterbeary!
Looking forward to what Birgit comes up with for Christmas this year.
Big hugs,
Veronique

A big Bravo for Birgit! All three challenges were awesomely met. I love them all, the pumpkin tea set, the fantastic bookholder....and the fence with the tiny baby dragons and fairy table and chairs. I love the way Birgit solved the problem of dividing the fence. Magical work!

I hope you and Rosey enjoyed your romp in the snow. Both of you look so adorable with your warm scarfs.
Warm hugs to you and Birgit, Drora

Whew! I was getting worried Fluby... that November would Never get started this year! LOL! Now I am just relieved to know that we are all just trying to catch up with Old Father Time who seems to be Winging past awfully fast this year! :) And it is Clear to see that Birgit has been so busy with making Magical properties that there has been no Time for anything else.... not even Worrying about the space Problem around Christmas Time! LOL! And as for the Magical creations... I think Birgit has outdone herself this time!!! That Fence is just Gorgeous! And so Original! And I too, LOVE the tiny fairy table and chairs!!! Not to mention the Pumpkin Teapot and all the other amazing Birgit constructions! There is just so much to look at on every piece... and I am sure they are all looking right back at us too! LOL!
As for the weather giving you a taste of cold white stuff.... we had our "advance warning" snowstorm before Halloween! It surprised us with 4 inches and was not fun to drive in! Fortunately it melted and now we still have to rake up all the autumn leaves. But you and Rosey look like you had a fun play day in the snowy garden and that always makes me smile from ear to ear! As you might be aware, I am trying to get a "Head start" on Christmas preparations myself this year.... so Birgit mustn't feel Lonely! :):) And I can't wait to see what the next project will be!!! :):) Keep up the good work with helping Birgit, Fluby, and for sure Santa will reward you! :):):)
